Paul has been interested in photography since his school days. He is an active member of the Dublin Camera Club for many years and has twice been President of the club. He continues to be a committee member acting as one of the programme secretaries and is the Director of the Eddie Chandler Gallery, which is a FIAP Exhibition Centre.

Paul is also a committee member of the Irish Photographic Federation, past president of the Federation and is currently the FIAP Liaison Officer for Ireland.

Thu 22 Apr 2021 - A Professionals Approach to workflow using Lightroom and Photoshop - Adrian Wilson (McFade)

Adrian took up photography back in 2003, when the first affordable DSLR cameras hit the market. As a keen amateur, he started out as a passionate landscape photographer – travelling thousands of miles a year to find new locations to capture. Unsurprisingly, he has an amazing knowledge of Yorkshire, Northumberland and The Lake District.

As new techniques developed through the “noughties”, he was always an early adopter – starting HDR in 2007 and soon after, the first speedlite-triggers came out, so learned “how to use off camera flash”.

David Keep is a professional photographer based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.  

In this talk David starts by demostrating how he works with models in the swimming pool, explaing equipment, planning and technique. From there he moves on to how he photographs the magnificent creatures that swim in the oceans around our world.

Back in October Tracy Lund presented her talk Wildlife Photography Part 1 and this turned out to be one of the best lectures of the Zoom season.  After many requests I have approached Tracy to present her Wildlife Photography Part 2 and she has agreed do this on 18th March 2021. Its now in Tracy's diary so please make sure this is in yours as it is definitely a lecture not to miss.

For those who attentended they will remember Part 1 concentrated on cold weather wildlife. Part 2 changes to show wildlife in Hot Climates.

Peter has been taking photographs since the early 1970s. In 2010 he was awarded a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS) and from 2010 to 2015, he exhibited images in exhibitions throughout the world. Around 10 years ago he decided to focus on street and urban photography.

This led to a project photographing Manchester’s Northern Quarter and to the award of an Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) in 2018.

'The Way We Were' covers the evolution of Peter’s street photography from single images to themed projects including his successful ARPS panel...

Trevor has visited Chernobyl and the town of Prypyat on two occasions , in 2016 and 2019, over 4 days. He will explore the history and the the Reactor Control Room before heading to the long abandoned town of Prypyat. Exploring many of the abandoned buildings including the Train Station and Amusement Park and ends on an outrageous conspiracy theory.

The Urban and Street Photography dwells mainly on street images taken in different types of public places, but also including some structural and architectural photography as well, largely monochrome and shot in Brighton, London and France, contrasty and dramatic pictures and a few unconventional images as well - from over-exposure, blown out images and unusual framing to exploiting lens flare, noise and blurry portraits.

This talk will explain Camera RAW and Adobe DNG covering what they mean, their advantages and disadvantages, workflow, and  non-destructive image editing.  It will demonstrate workflow with Adobe Camera RAW in Bridge, Photoshop and Lightroom.

The presentation includes both talk and interactive demonstrations of software appropriate to photographers, and are presented in a language that photographers can understand. (No IT jargon!)
