A few months ago a few of our members were lucky to join a Wakefield CC meeting when Donna was giving her lecture. We all found the presentation to be among the best we had seen and Donna give a enormous amout of information about her techniques particularly lighting, arranging and camera settings. This is a MUST SEE presentation. If you need any more encouragement please visit her web site:  https://www.donnacrous.com/

The following is a website extract:

Donna is an award winning food photographer who images feature on the cover of many poular magazines. Her most recent achievement is that two of her images were shortlisted for The British Photography Awards 2021.

Her reputation is built not only on her photography, but also recipe development, cooking and styling, This combination of skills has led to work across a spectrum ranging from health/food magazines, through brand development to recipe books. Donna's clients are not only local London based publishers, but also USA and South Africa.

Donna's own book, "A Healthier Family For Life" (through Little, Brown publishers) is due out in 2021.

Donna is always happy to share what she knows and works closely with Nikon as a Nikon Europe Ambassador doing talks and workshops, as well as running her own workshops and 1-2-1 mentoring sessions.  She also hosts food photography talks for local camera clubs throughout the UK and even in Dubai and USA.

For Donna, lighting is crucial, and can be the difference between an appealing, flattering shot and something that looks unnatural and unappetising.  Originally shooting entriely with natural light, the overcast climate in the UK can pose some challenges.  Venturing into the world of continuous lighting using a Rotolight Neo2 for filler light, has lead Donna to become the newest member of the Rotolight Masters of Light team.
