Residential Photography Courses on Easdale island

Dear Club Secretary,

we hope this email finds you as well as can be expected in these trying times. We are writing to you to let you know about our upcoming residential photography courses taking place in Scotland on the unique and beautiful island of Easdale this summer. We hope this well be the perfect tonic for the post-COVID world in 2021.

Now in their fifth year, our courses offer the perfect opportunity to combine a relaxing and stimulating experience. All of our courses are fully inclusive, with accommodation, home cooked meals and tuition included in the price. Participants will stay on the stunning Easdale Island. Easdale is the smallest permanently-inhabited Inner Hebridean island and is accessible only by passenger ferry. There are no cars on the island, and it has around 65 permanent residents. There are just six places available on each course, and participants will stay on the island for three nights in two beautifully-appointed traditional cottages. All you have to do is get to the island, relax and develop your photography skills.

We are offering two different courses for 2021, with two different dates for each course: Develop Your Narrative and Practical Storytelling. The latter course is more technical, where we focus on practical camera skills while the Develop Your Narrative course is aimed more at nurturing artistic skills, exploring how photography can be used as a visual language. With both our courses we aim for each participant to produce their own story on Easdale on the final day. With our small group sizes, we ensure that all participants have the opportunity to receive one-to-one support from our tutors Colin McPherson and Adam Lee, as well as engage in group activities and discussions.

We would be interested to discover whether it would be possible for you to share the details of our course with your members and through your networks. All the details are here on our website:

If you require any further information or have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

With kind regards,

Adam Lee and Colin McPherson

Course Dates:

Practical Storytelling: 5th-8th June, 21st – 24th August

Develop Your Narrative: 9th-12th June, 25th – 28th June
