Zoom Meeting: Astrid McGechan ‘Feel the Land – Photography & Emotion’

Tues 2nd June, 7.30pm

Bishopthorpe Camera Club are delighted that Astrid McGechan has agreed to give our first Zoom lecture. Astrid is a freelance photographer and author based in Surrey. She is a tutor for Light & Land and her images have been published and widely exhibited in the UK and Europe.

Astrid’s pictures range from landscapes and street life to abstracts and architecture, and she aims to create an emotional resonance for the viewer.

Astrid has very generously offered a signed limited edition print, which which will be raffled to raise funds for the club (details will be circulated to club members by email).

Astrid’s talk, ‘Feel the Land – Photography and Emotion’, will relate how Astrid’s photography aims to reflect her emotions at the time of taking the picture. Transmitting feelings, thoughts and emotions to the viewer is at the heart of Astrid’s work. During the talk, Astrid will take you along her photographic journey and share some of her techniques with us.
