Initially formed as Selby Photographic Society in 1887. But was later renamed as Selby Camera Club approximately 1890 and has been in existence ever since.
In May 1994 we hosted the 95th annual assembly and exhibition of the Y.P.U.
Every August Bank Holiday we hold our own annual exhibition of club members prints which are displayed in the magnificent setting of Selby Abbey. Viewing members of the public are encouraged to vote for their favourite photograph. Club members steward the exhibition over the 3 days and are always willing to answer questions and offer helpful tips and advice.
