Selby Camera Club is preparing for it's annual exhibition held every year in the magnificent Selby Abbey.

The exhibition is on August Bank Holiday, 28th, 29th and 30th August 2010. There will be about 100 prints on display.

Entrance is free, both to the Abbey and the exhibition. All the prints have been taken by members over the year.

Prints may be purchased and anyone wishing to buy may leave their details with one of our stewards in attendance.

Visitors to the exhibition vote for their favourite 3 prints. The numbers are counted up and the overall winner over the 3 day event will be presented with a trophy at our yearly dinner and presentation event held at Monk Fryston Hall.

The exhibition opening times:  Saturday 10am - 4pm.

Sunday  12noon - 4pm.

 Monday  10am - 4pm.

Everyone is most welcome to come and have a chat with camera club members who will be stewarding the 3 day event. If you are interested and would like to become a member, please leave your details and either the club President or Secretary will contact you.

Our meetings are at Barlow Village Hall Park Lane Barlow Selby YO8 8EW on a Thursday evening from 7pm until 9.30pm. We start in September until May. Our syllabus includes various events including talks, demonstrations by experienced photographers, competitions, inter-club meets, members evenings. We have Portrait Evenings, where we provide the lights and models and you provide the expertise. The club also runs Digital Evenings which will help you to understand and improve digital manipulation of your photographs.

Our thanks go to The National Lottery. Earlier this year we were awarded a grant to buy new equipment. This will enable us to continue with the development of our club.
